Hello all,
Hope everyone is having a wonderful March Break.
I am now busily editing some photos from Spirit Week and music class which I hope will be ready to share soon.

In the meantime, I would like to share with you this information flyer about our new St. Jude's Football Club. It is a very exciting opportunity!

WE ARE MUSICIANS!

*Musicians are Thinkers - we critically listen to the patterns and how music music is put together and think about the effects these choices have.

*Musicians are Inquirers - we love to learn all sorts of music and new ways to create music.

*Musicians are Knowledgeable - we need to learn and understand Musical Elements, the basic building blocks of music.

*Musicians are Communicators - Music is a means of communication beyond oral language. According to the IB Arts Scope & Sequence, "Music delights and stimulates, soothes and comforts us; music allows students to communicate in a unique way. "

*Musicians are Risk-Takers - we take risks each time to try to create a piece of new music, each time we learn new music, and each time we perform for an audience.

*Musicians are Reflective - As the Arts Scope & Sequence tells us, "Music is both an active and reflective process when making and listening to it."
